Unfortunately it looks like India (in this case, the state government of Uttar Pradesh) is taking tips from Israel: declare that a Muslim-owned structure which predates the modern state was built without a permit; have courts controlled by the privileged majority that will not decisively support those fighting demolition, despite their obvious rightness; and finally, bulldoze these structures illegally in spite of big protests.
